Online survey is already cheap. You cut all the cost relating to the administration of the survey and recruiting the respondents. However, don't let them do it for free. Give something to your respondents, they "went by themselves" just to come to your site and answer your questions. Most of them might participate because their your users. Don't take them for granted.
Online surveys maybe cheap, but you'll be sorry if they think you're cheap.
